School for Student Leadership

During nine weeks in Term 3, five Year 9 students participated in the School for Student Leadership at the Gnurad-Gundidj campus in the western district of Victoria. Mitchell Allen, Paige Brice, Josh Biancon, Trent Stoneham and Jamie Kupisz all represented our College extremely well. Each term, up to 45 students from all parts of Victoria live full-time at the campus to develop leadership skills, participate in various outdoor team building activities and expeditions and work as a team to develop a Community Learning Project. The group’s CLP was called A DAY FOR FRAN – “A slice today can help keep the cancer away”.  This was established in memory of our late Business Manager Ms. Fran Sozzi who sadly lost her battle with cancer during the year. Through the sale of pizza at the College during a day in December, the group hopes to raise money for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation to try and prevent cancer.
