Psychology and the Arts
On Thursday 3 August Mr Hart and Mrs Ward’s Year 11 Psychology students visited the National Gallery of Victoria and the Melbourne Museum.
As part of Unit 2, students have been investigating visual sensation and perception. In their visit to the National Galley students were able to apply depth cues and Gestalt principles to a number of contemporary and older art works.
Students also visited the Melbourne Museum's “enter the mind” exhibition, where they immersed themselves in a number psychological exhibits that covered, visual illusions, emotions, and sleep.
A great day was had by all.
