Defend until the end

Boys Netball

Our Boys Netballers went out to Mill Park Stadium for our Whittlesea Division Competition. Filling teams in our Junior, Intermediate and Senior competition, we were set for a big day across all teams.

Our Junior team had the tough challenge of taking on Hazel Glen where we were well beaten by a well drilled team. Round 2 against Lalor we were big winners by 15 goals, an outstanding effort. Our final game against Epping we fell well short, Epping eventually taking out the winning team on the day.

Our Intermediate team also took on Hazel Glen in their opening round where they won in a thrilling match. Victorian Netballer Riley Owen captained the team magnificently with his netball knowledge and experience. We also defeated Lalor in our second game, meaning our final match against Epping would determine who would progress to the following stage. However, Epping were too strong on the day, comfortably beating us.

Our Senior team opened up against Mill Park, who had a very accurate goal shooter who was the difference in both teams. Mill Park would eventually win the senior competition, however Whittlesea won the final two games against Lalor and Epping which was a great effort.

All the students showed great sportsmanship on the game as we continue to progress as a school in boys netball.
