Celebrating Year 8 Excellence

Celebrating Year 8 Excellence

The inaugural Year 8 Academic Excellence Club Gold Member Luncheon was held on Wednesday 2 August 2017. This lunch celebrated the outstanding effort and commitment that many of the Year 8 cohort have shown towards their learning. To date, each of these students have received all three academic excellence awards as they have continually demonstrated a willingness to strive for their personal best in order to achieve personal academic excellence.

Academic excellence is not defined by the marks you get, but about always being prepared and willing to learn by giving your very best in every class. It is about demonstrating the right behaviours necessary to succeed including bringing all equipment to class, completing all tasks on time and trying your hardest in class.

I would like to thank these students for being such outstanding role models to their classmates. Well done! You are all an inspiration to other Year 8 students and the wider Whittlesea Secondary College community.
