On 24th March Friday, Year 7 students took part in an incursion. Our Indigenous Elder for the area of Whittlesea, Ian Hunter, presented to students stories about the ways of life for Aboriginal people from the past and made connections to the present. He identified the past struggles, their beliefs in nature and the environment and place people have in this world.
Ian was entertaining and very informative on a number of topics that supported our studies in class on the topic of Ancient Australia. Students were pleasantly informed of our local history as well as the history of various areas around Victoria.
