Year 10 Art

Inspired by Japanese Artist, Hiroshi Yoshii, Year 10 Art students created sculptures that reflect his style. Yoshii creates 3D illustrations so lively they seem real. He posts these new characters on his own blog The Daily Work after hours of painstaking and precise digital labor. Hiroshi is driven by excitement for his creative process and by pure love for his 3D creatures.

Magazine Cover

Students are exploring the codes and conventions of narrative in a variety of different media. They used Adobe Photoshop to construct magazine front covers to refine their technical skills and develop narrative in front covers. Have a look at some of the work our students have been creating.

Senior School

Well done to all VCE students who completed mid year exams in the last two weeks. It is a busy time with the transition into Units 2 and 4 and it is important that students stay focused and motivated as the term draws to a close. Students and parents are encouraged to communicate with subject teachers and Student Managers about any concerns or queries they may have so all staff can provide the necessary support needed for all students to perform their best.

Reconciliation Week

What a fantastic National Reconciliation Week! Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students invited the school community to celebrate the event. They cooked a Kangaroo BBQ for staff and students to taste. During lunch time students collaborated on designing buntings to mark Reconciliation week. These will be on permanent display in the College. Congratulations to the students who planned a successful reconciliation event.

Top Designs

Year 11 and 12 Visual Communication Design students were inspired from a recent visit to the Top Designs exhibit at the Melbourne Museum. Top Designs showcases the best student works for the VCE in Visual communication Design, Media, Food Technology, Design and Technology and Systems Engineering. Final works are shown alongside the folios that lead to their creation. Students had the chance to look through the folios and take photos to help them in the production of their own folio.

Business Management

Business Management Year 11 & 12- Port of Melbourne Corporation excursion 19 May 2015

As part of the Business Management courses at Year 11 & 12, we try to convey as much as possible the work of many different types of organisations as they operate in today’s competitive commercial environment.  The Port of Melbourne Corporation is such an organisation.

Recently both Senior Biology classes went on an excursion to Healesville Sanctuary. Although some of us struggled with car sickness on the bus trip, the journey was worth it! A Healesville representative took us to the different environments in the sanctuary where we counted the different plants we could see, learning about native trees and how to identify them. After a snack from the café and enjoying the sounds and views of the scenery we were picked up and went back home with our gift shop souvenirs, mud on our shoes and LOTS of photos on our phones.
