A huge thank you to all the staff (especially Geoff Waters) and students involved in the periodic table wall project over the last year. Much time and effort has gone into this project. This wall is located in a Chemistry room (S6) in the S-block laboratories.
On the 11/11 Deanna Berry, Flyn Atwood-McInnes, Kirsty Lord, Kobe Hay, Rachael Oh, Anastasia Avramopolous, Connor Parkinson, Jake Charity, Mitchell Allen and Mikayla Gibbons, our representatives from Student Leadership, visited the Whittlesea Shrine to attend the Remembrance Day service. This was a moving ceremony and the students enjoyed mixing with community members at Morning Tea after the service.
Student Leadership Coordinator
Last week the Year 7-9 Student Leaders spent the morning at Whittlesea Primary School running a 'Kids Teaching Kids' workshop with the Grade 6 students. Split into groups, each group of four Student Leaders was in charge of looking after a group of 10-12 students, running leadership and teamwork games with them and helping them prepare for their transition to high school next year.
Last week the Hume – Whittlesea VET, VCAL and SBAT awards were held at Aitken College. We are proud to announce that the following students received awards on the night: Natalie Green, Brittany Solyom, Sarah Millar, Laura Cogan, Connor Broadhurst and Jack Dalton.
Please note the date for the new booklist to be returned to the school has been changed to Monday 14 December to allow people to attend the second hand book sale before ordering new books.
Collection day for second hand books is Wednesday 2 December.
Year 8 Excursion - IMAX and Melbourne Museum
Over a two day spilt excursion, all Year 8 students attended the Melbourne Museum and IMAX to discover the 'Unseen World' in 3D and view the body system showcase. There was a lot to see and students had a fantastic time in both the movie and exploring the exhibits at the museum.

Year 12 Students have now completed their exams and celebrated with a graduation dinner Thursday night this week. Earlier in the term they celebrated their last day of school by dressing up to celebrate the occasion. The students put a lot of effort into their costumes and looked fantastic. Below are a few photos from the day.

Maths Homework Club
Maths Homework Club will run on Wednesday 25 November after school in S9 from 3.30 to 4.30.
Year 8-11 students, just a reminder to all students that they are to have their own calculator for the Maths exams. You are not permitted to use your phone in the exams.
Attached is an order form for calculators. Please order between now and the 11th of January 2016.
